Adopting a kitten is a long term commitment.

To ensure our kittens are placed in the best possible home, we ask that you please be patient in allowing us to complete our adoption process. If you are interested in adopting one of our available kittens the following steps need to be completed.

  • Click on the link underneath the cat/kitten you are interested in adopting. You will be redirected to Shelterluv to complete the online application. Once our volunteers have reviewed your application, you will receive an email stating your application was "accepted".  We will contact you to conduct a telephone interview with 72 hours of this email. Please note "accepted" does not mean "approved". You will be notified of approval after all steps have been completed.

  • With an approved application, we will set a time for you to meet the kitten(s) you are interested in. The meeting will take place at the foster home. We suggest all adults and any children in the home be present as well.

  • After meeting the kitten(s) if you choose to finalize the adoption, the $75, nonrefundable adoption fee will be required at this time. If kitten(s) have already received their spay/neuter surgery it will be possible for you to take your new pet(s) home. All kittens must leave in a carrier. We would also like to take an adoption photo of your kitten(s) with their new family for our website and Facebook Page

  • If kittens are not able to return home with you immediately we will schedule a time for you to pick up your new kitten(s). Due to scheduling of the surgery with the vet pick up date/time is subject to change.

  • You will receive their official adoption paperwork which includes vet records and microchip information via email after they have left the foster.  Records will come from the email address yourfriends@Shelterluv.com. Unless you are informed otherwise, your kitten/cat has been fully vetted meaning they do not require any follow up wellness visits at the time of adoption. Microchips are transferred to you automatically by us. You will receive a confirmation email from foundanimals.org. Microchip information can be updated as necessary at no charge via this website. Instructions for updating will be included in the transfer email.
