Barn Cat Program

Community Cats of Palm Coast operates a Barn Cat Program in which friendly ferals, living in high-risk circumstances, are trapped, vetted and relocated to horse farms and rural properties where they are needed as mousers. Caretakers must agree to provide the cats with two meals a day, shelter in a barn or out building, and a secure place, such as a cement block stall, feed room, or tack room, where the cats can be held for a one month period upon arrival before being allowed to roam free.

This period of acclimation is essential to maximize the chance of successful, long-term placements. Community Cats of Palm Coast will deliver the cats to their new caretakers and help set up their holding place.

There is no charge for the barn cats but donations are appreciated. If interested, please call 386-237-7690 or email Elizabeth@communitycatspc.org.
