Adoption Center Manager
After proper training the individual must be able to perform the following, and do so without any direct supervision.

Intake all animals in a timely fashion as per CCOPC protocol

Manage the care and record keeping of all cats/kittens that reside at the adoption center including, health checks and recognizing illness/injury

Work directly with the foster coordinator to place foster kittens in foster homes, schedule vaccines, pick up of supplies by fosters, schedule adoption events and prepare for inhouse/offsite adoption events

Work with volunteer coordinator to ensure the am/pm housekeeping schedule is functioning and fill in for any absences if necessary.

Assist potential adopters with choosing cats/kittens and completion of application/interview if necessary

Managing volunteers to ensure proper utilization of their time and skills while on the premises and maintaining volunteer schedules

Entering vital data into software database including vaccines, dewormer, flea meds, spay/neuter info and additional documents

Maintaining supply list and ordering

Ensuring all protocols and procedures are followed by all staff and volunteers.

Preparing reports for the Executive Director and Board

Responding/assisting people and pets in emergency situations and guiding them properly as the case calls for

Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment and ensuring equipment is in proper working order

Developing and maintaining positive relationships with other shelters, rescues and veterinary partners

Qualifications

Previous animal experience is helpful and preferred, or willingness to train

Computer proficiency and familiarity with various social media platforms

Excellent time management and communication skills

Reliability and attention to detail is essential

Strong organizational skills; proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in fast paced work environment

Ability to work well with variety of people

Positive attitude, Customer relations including email and telephone correspondence

Commitment to CCOPC’s animal care policies and organizational programs and goals

Adherence to CCOPC’s Code of Ethics, Confidentiality Agreement and Conflict of Interest

Candidates should preferably not have any obligations that prevent them from occasionally staying late or that would result in frequent absences

Ability to work in a fast paced environment and be able to adapt quickly
• Full-time, exempt (salaried) position
• Reports to the Executive Director
• Work schedule is Tuesday-Saturday 10:00am to 5:00 pm ; regular weekend and holiday availability may be required
• Some evening hours required
