This is a colony cat...

The highlight of his day is when a feeder comes to give him a good meal. The reason he looks healthy and isn't skinny is that he gets fed and watched over by colony caretakers.

If he is sick or injured they will try to help. If he was friendly enough, they would try to find him a home. But for cats like him, their outside location is their home, their colonymates are their family, and their caretakers are their heroes. Can you be one? It only takes about a half an hour a week, and a few dollars, to become a colony caretaker, and there are colonies throughout Flagler County, so there is sure to be one convenient to where you live or work. To volunteer, please text 310-266-9050 and speak to a colony coordinator.
